chris la putt - a rather pessimistic music photographer in nyc and a firm believer in righteous indignation.
ruining your google search results for the best nyc-based music + concert + portrait + band photographer since 2007.
nb: this is my editing wall. some photos will come up and down at the whim of the egotistical photographer.
480 Pixels - BrooklynVegan Music Photography show is coming at 92YTribeca tomorrow. Come see our photos - bigger and then stay for the concert with Screaming Females, Hunters, and Heliotropes ($12 a ticket no crappy ticketmaster fee!).
Since BrooklynVegan launched in 2004, the music blog has become a must-read in the indie music scene in New York and beyond.
BrooklynVegan has also developed a reputation for its music photos, with its photographers documenting the rise of countless bands, venues, and scenes, as well as festivals around the US and abroad. In a new exhibit at 92YTribeca, fans can see the best of the blog’s concert photos, artist portraits, and atmosphere-capturing crowd shots on the walls of an “off-line” gallery. Expect to see photos of bands such as Arcade Fire, Feist, Grace Jones, Heliotropes, Jack White, Of Montreal, Radiohead, Regina Spektor, Screaming Females, St. Vincent, The National, Vampire Weekend, The Walkmen and more… The exhibition marks the first time many of the images will be shown in public at a size greater than 480 pixels, the standard width of each photo on BrooklynVegan.
